2025 Josef Chromy Expressions Chardonnay (2025)
The Expressions range showcases the diversity of Tasmania's wine-growing regions. Our 2025 Chardonnay has been crafted with exceptional fruit from the Coal River Valley. Juicy and filled with citrus fruit flavours. The use of French oak imparts a creamy texture that balances the lively acid line to still retain remarkable freshness.

Chardonnay grapes from each block are hand picked at optimal ripeness and gently whole-bunch pressed. These are kept separate throughout the vinification process. The free-run juice is settled overnight and racked to a mix of French oak puncheons (500L) and barriques (228L), of which about 40% are new for fermentation and maturation. Partial malolactic conversion takes place thereafter as well as gentle stirring of the lees.
The wine spends 10 months in barrels on full lees to further develop complexity and texture.
Only the finest barrels that best reflect the expression of site are selected to create the final blend.
